A Semi‐Batch Flow System for the Production of 5‐Chloromethylfurfural

Abstract The bioplatform molecule 5‐chloromethylfurfural (CMF) has potential as an intermediate or precursor in the preparation of useful products, such bioderived fuels, chemicals and polymers. replacement halogenated solvents use a semi‐batch system have been investigated synthesis to reduce human environmental safety concerns associated with current CMF production methods. new method gives high yield from fructose without chlorinated solvents, can be extended other feedstocks sugars, cellulose, seaweed sawdust.
